Mark is the Chair of WEST and is also currently Chair of British Rowing, having previously been Chairman of ArcheryGB, and is a Fellow at the Blavatnik School of Government in Oxford. He started his career trading at JPMorgan and then spent five years as a broadcaster with BBC Radio Five Live. He chairs one and is part of another educational development board, has been a Governor at a state boarding school, and was until recently a Trustee of SportsAid, the charity which funds aspiring athletes before they become eligible for money from the National Lottery. He was part of the founder team at Betfair, where he spent a decade. Mark has an MA in French and Russian and an MPhil in History, both from Cambridge, and an MA in Contemporary History and Politics from King’s College, London.
