Sessional Receptionist

Reception is the first point of contact for Youth Zone members, their parents, visitors, and suppliers. WEST’s receptionist is responsible for greeting and welcoming every young person as they arrive and ensuring they leave safely. The key purpose of the role is to ensure the young people enter the session smoothly, processing new members, directing phone calls and enquiries, maintaining the membership database efficiently and carrying out regular communication. The post holder will be part of a welcoming and professional team who are also positive about young people and will ensure the Youth Zone will function to its maximum potential. The ideal candidate will be someone with a clear ‘can do’ approach, committed to a growth mindset, eager tolerant all for the benefit of supporting young people. You will demonstrate our Values through all you do and will commit to giving your best every session for young people

Sports Youth Worker

Ideally, you will have experience delivering the following:

  • Coaching, facilitating and developing young people through a variation of sports
  • Running a variety of competitions internally and/or externally
  • Managing our Sports Hall or Multi Use Games Area
  • Working with WEST Partners to deliver positive outcomes for young people

Digital Media Youth Worker

The arts offer at WEST is wide-ranging and includes visual arts, music, media, dance and drama. As a member of the Arts Team, you will be key in ensuring young people have access to an exciting and creative arts programme that will be challenging, stimulating, fun, engaging and developmental. You will be involved in teaching the fundamentals of a single, or range of arts activities, enabling young people to explore their creativity and grow their skills. Within the arts team, we are looking for a range of talented arts youth workers with a diverse set of skills and expertise, who are also passionate about working with young people.

Inclusion Coordinator

Our Inclusion Coordinator will design and deliver creative arts activities for young people, overseeing the programmes for the Sensory Room and Duty Management of our Sunday Beyond Session. As well as this, they will provide line management support, coaching and development for arts sessional workers in their areas. This role requires a minimum of 55% of working hours spent face to face with young people.
