WEST Youth Zone acts as a platform to help grow the total offer for young people whether that’s in sports, employability, performing arts or other specialist areas. The Youth Zone delivers the best service when we work in partnership with local voluntary and statuary organisations. That’s why we need YOUR help!
WEST, based in Hammersmith and Fulham, alongside the standard youth worker sessions, provides a physical space for corporate and local organisations to deliver their services to local young people. It is a tailored space for ages 8 up to 19 (25 with additional needs). Our partners find they can reach a wider span of young people through working with the Youth Zone’s members.
If you are interested in hosting your activities or working together on a project, we would love to invite you for a tour of WEST. Please contact enquiries@westyouthzone.org, we would love to hear your ideas.
Below are some examples of how we can work in partnership with local agencies currently.
QPR Football
With their stadium being located down the road from WEST, it made sense to join forces with QRP. Their charitable arm “QPR in the Community Trust” aims to use the power of football to promote positive change. With their main vision to “create a stronger, healthier, more active community where everyone can thrive.”
QPR’s mission aligns well with WESTs which has led them to have a strong visibility and connection with our members. You can often see QPR taking over our Skyline Pitch offering specialist coaching and training to local young people.
Babyzone
We collaborate with fellow charity, Babyzone, by offering our space one day per week before our sessions. Babyzone sessions provides fun, evidence-based classes for children aged 0-5 to chat, play, read, and sing with their parents. Classes on offer include baby yoga, soft play, sensory play, and reading areas. Babyzone works together with multiple OnSide Youth Zones including all London locations.
Babyzone takes over the WEST Youth Zone space on Tuesdays from 9am – 2:30pm (term time). The sessions work well with our offering as it looks to bridge the gap between early years learning and children in primary school.
