EdCity: Foundations for Tomorrow
WEST Youth Zone is a part of EdCity, a hub for purpose-driven organisations based in White City. The area has been transformed by an innovative partnership between Hammersmith & Fulham Council and education charity, Ark.
WEST Youth Zone sits between Ark White City Primary and 1 EdCity, a co-working space, community cafe and hub for organisations working with young people. In the next phase, EdCity will be joined by a new nursery, an adult education centre and the addition of more affordable housing.
At the heart of EdCity, you will find us! A purpose-built space for West London’s young people aged 8 – 19, and up to 25 for those with additional needs. The building is fizzing with energy and crammed with incredible facilities.
Opening-up a key gateway into the White City Innovation District, EdCity was designed to create high-quality opportunities for learning, skills development and work. It will provide a hub for purpose-driven organisations and homes for local people.
EdCity is grounded in the community
With a school, a state-of-the-art youth centre, lifelong learning opportunities and housing at its core, community is integral to the design, form and function of EdCity.

At every age and stage of life, EdCity builds connections between residents, families, learning opportunities and businesses, through a shared space and a social mission. It is the missing piece of the puzzle for the Innovation District.
