On Sunday 27th April, WEST Youth Zone marked a major milestone, our 1st year of opening, with a “Wild Wild WEST” themed party! Over 700 young people, families, supporters, and staff joined us to celebrate an unforgettable and wild year of providing young West Londoners with quality youth work, over 20+ exciting activities per session and support from local businesses and individuals.
From the moment doors opened, the day was packed with non-stop fun, including:
- Performances showcasing incredible youth talent
- Rodeo Bull, Beat the Bleep, Coconut Shy, Knock a Duck, Nerf Range challenge
- Photo booth fun and painting our WEST Happy Birthday Mural
- Skincare, face-painting, nails pampering stations
- T-shirt design, bandana creating, badge making crafts
- Find your fortune interactive games
- Speed Climbing, Relay Races, Bungee Run, Sandbag Toss
- YP vs Parents Tournament, Penalty Shootout, Crossbar Challenge on the Skyline Pitch
- Line Dancing, Karaoke, Cupcake Decorating, Circus Skills, Golf Putting, and even Beginner’s Pad/Bag Work sessions!
Throughout the day, we celebrated everything WEST has achieved this year including a total of 3,398 members, over 35,000 attendances, 42,000 hours of youth work delivered that’s 1,750 consecutive days supporting young people. 25 amazing trips and 55 days of holiday club fun!
We were thrilled to host our Founder Supporter Brunch on the same day, bringing together the partners and trustees who believed in WEST from day one. Your commitment fuels everything we do, and it was great to celebrate this journey with you!
