1 Year vs 100 Years: Why Youth Clubs Still Matter! WEST Youth Zone & The Sulgrave Club

We are excited to share a new video: WEST Youth Zone (just 1 year old) and The Sulgrave Club (celebrating 100 years in June 2026) come together in WEST’s Music Room to discuss why youth clubs are still relevant in Hammersmith & Fulham after all these years.

WEST Junior and Holiday Club Manager, Harry Wills, and The Sulgrave Club Manager, Nick Sazeides, join members of both clubs Amlah, Nagwa, Farida and Anas to explore what they love about the clubs and how young people would feel without having a nurturing place to hang out in.

WEST and Sulgrave’s one-year and one-hundred-year anniversaries are a timely celebration of youth spaces, coming just as we have announced the Buildings for Young People Alliance. Supported and facilitated by Young Hammersmith and Fulham, the Buildings for Young People Alliance brings together both clubs alongside Masbro Youth Club, The Brunswick Club and Action on Disability.

We hope to continue to shine a spotlight on the importance of protecting and investing in safe, welcoming spaces where young people can build friendships, find support, and explore their potential – not just today, but for generations to come.

Please reach out to enquiries@westyouthzone.org or info@thesulgraveclub.org.uk if you would like to know more about great youth work in your area.
